PRAGYAAN 2026 – MERIT is envisioned as a dynamic platform to nurture inquiry, interdisciplinary thinking, research orientation and innovation among young scholars. The conference aims to highlight the growing importance of integrated STEM education—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, where real-world challenges inspire meaningful learning.
 
In an era that calls for sustainable development, renewable energy solutions, digital transformation and scientific literacy, it becomes imperative to connect classroom learning with real-life contexts. This conference emphasizes experiential and hands-on learning, critical thinking, collaboration and career readiness in emerging STEM domains.
 
We invite  enthusiastic and deserving student participants from your institution to submit Self Developed Research Papers / Investigatory Projects / Demonstration Models / Innovative Research Proposals in standardized format under the broad focus of: 
 
Innovative Practices in STEM Education with emphasis on Co-Creation and Knowledge Sharing.
 
Participants may submit proposals that are:
Interdisciplinary
Investigatory or Survey-based
Innovation-driven (question-based or solution-based)
Demonstration-oriented
 
The projects may align with one or more of the following sub-themes:
  1. STEM / Skill-Based Subjects, AI, Design Thinking, Coding, Robotics, Mathematical Modeling and Scientific Projects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Astronomy)
  2. STEM Education & Sustainable Practices
  3. STEM Hands-on Practical Learning
  4. Enhanced STEM Competencies & 21st Century Skills
Special thematic emphasis for 2026:
Energy Transfer with links to Electricity, Sustainability, Renewable Energy and Related Areas
 
Activities may include:
  • Demonstration Stalls (Climate Change, Health, Science Behind Miracles, Vermicomposting, Economic Botany/Zoology, Ethnoscience, Science in Toys, etc.)
  • Mathematical Games and Puzzle Stations
  • Student Innovation Stalls
  • Robotics / Coding Showcases
  • Sustainability & Renewable Energy Models
  • Survey-Based Research Presentations     
Submission Guidelines (Standard Format):
  1. Title

  8. Inclusivity and Equity (statement of whether judiciously applied)

  13. Optional Add-ons (QR codes linking to videos/blogs/portfolios, photographs, student work, etc.)
All submissions will undergo evaluation and categorization by the Organising Committee. Based on merit and quality, entries will be shortlisted for:
  • Oral Presentation
  • Poster Presentation
  • Live Demonstration
  • Exhibition Stall Display
Some submissions may not qualify for presentation.
 
Evaluation & Judgement (Total 100 Points)
 
Each selected participant will deliver a 25-minute presentation (20 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A) before the Appreciation Committee (AC). Assessment will be based on:

Novelty 10 Points
Relevance 10 Points
Methodology 10 Points
Inclusivity 10 Points
Scalability 10 Points
Replicability 10 Points
Sustainability 5 Points
Cost Effectiveness 5 Points
Total 100 Points
 
Outstanding projects will be awarded under distinguished categories and all participants will receive certificates of participation. Depending upon recommendation by the Appreciation Committee, the best judged Proposals may also be Awarded with:
  1.   Young STEM Laureate Award
  2.   Emerging Researcher Award
  3.   Innovation Excellence Award
  4.   Sustainable Science Champion
  5.   Best Demonstration Award
  6.   Certificate of Distinction / Participation
